Beggars in Barney's?

By sociofashi · October 22, 2008 · 1 Comment · 1,888 Views

Barney’s keen visual merchandisers in the Men's department have designed displays that fuse their consumer’s love and need for fashion with the current state of our economy.

The controversial yet high fashion visuals feature mannequins dressed in different designers like Raf, Balenciaga, Dior, and Prorsum.  These mannequins are holding hand-written cardboard signs much like the signs that homeless individual use to ask for donations, food, cash, etc.

Yet another example of how fashion keeps up with the times. Zeitgeist anyone?
