The Style Word of the day is Zeitgeist. This term is one that everyone who is anyone in fashion should be familiar with.

It literally means, “the spirit of the times.”  In fashion however, it has a different meaning.  Fashion meaning: the times are reflected in fashion.  Or to better state it, the times create or dissipate trends in the fashion industry.  For example, in times of economic hardship generally women’s hemlines get longer and the color palette gets darker.
